PROFESSIONAL VIDEO POKER FOR WINDOWS (tm)
====================================
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
REVISION HISTORY
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
12/23/96 - Version 2.5d
=======================
- Fixed one small problem with selection of wild card game to
play.
- Changed the Shareware version to allow users to select and
"deal" just the initial cards for Wild Card games. Can't
finish a hand (draw) for a Wild Card game unless you have
registered.
- Registered users are allowed "deal" & "draw" access to
ALL 20 games, including the Wild Card games.
- Unregsitered users only get deal & draw access to non-wild
card games and deal only access to Wild Card games.
12/15/96 - Version 2.5c
=======================
- Fixed a problem with the card dealing special effects when grain
and speed set to slow or medium speed. The game use to deal the
cards REALLY SLOW when these two options were set to these speeds.
The fix should allow slower card dealing special effects to work
within normal speed parameters.
- Also, the "please register soon" nag screen will not come up as often
as in previous versions. Should only occur every thousand hands
or so.
- Added a new exit form at the end of the shareware version. This form
asks the user to please register and presents ordering and contact
information for the program and our Company.
10/7/96 - Version 2.5b
======================
- Windows 95 Alert!
If you are using an S3 video board with Windows 95
and are running your computer at a resolution higher
than 800 x 600, you may have a problem with some of
the graphics displayed in this game. We have!
Changing the resolution to 800 x 600 should correct
the problem until you receive an updated set of
video drivers from the manufacturer of your video
card. You will need to contact them to get the
newer video drivers (when they release them)
Also, if you are running Windows in Large Fonts mode,
some of the graphics and other items on this game's
screens may not line-up correctly. You need to switch
to Small Fonts mode.
- Disabled the wild card games in the unregistered version.
We tried enabling them and putting faith in the
honor system, but registrations dropped by almost
80% when we did this. Therefore, the wild card games
are once again only available for users for pay their
registration fee.
10/1/96 - Version 2.5a

new game, the New Game menu has been split
into 2 sub-menus. One for Regular Games and
one for Progressive games. From there, a
nice graphical screen appears in which you
click on the game you want to play. This
screen has two rows of realistic video poker
machines that you click on to pick your game.
- The old window for selecting a new game still exists.
It will appear under the two new sub-menus
mentioned above. This window shows all 20 game
types available and lets you pick any one of them
from a single screen.

address.

7/15/95 - Version 2.2b
======================
- Fixed a few minor bugs.
5/15/95 - Version 2.2a
======================
Fixed the following customer complaints or requested changes:
- Change main table background color back to grey.
- Removed the moving text and its options.
- Changed some of the short cut keys so they are all unique.
These bug fixes and imrovements were made:
- The shortcut keys for disabled buttons were still active. This
caused problems when users did not use the mouse. The shortcut
keys are now turned off when the buttons are disabled.
- The sound VBX system we used was replaced by a newer and more
reliable one. Some customers reported the program locked up
when our old sound system tried to grad the sound card after
another program was allocated to it. This has hopefully been
fixed.
- The nagging "please register" window will appear less often
to unregistered users.
- The change game window has been expanded for non-registered
users to show exactly which additional games they get when
they register.
- The program now calls our new Order System for Windows program
called BSIORDER.EXE (now included). This program makes it
easier for ordering any of our products. Also, we now accept
credit cards and also have a automated BBS order system which
customers can call with their computer to place a credit card
order (with bundle discounts) as well as download the latest
versions of all our products.
- A new program called BSIDIAL.EXE has been added to the package
to provide easy DOS access to our BBS. This program will run
from within our order system and will find the customer's modem,
configure it, and dial our BBS in just a few seconds.
1/15/95 - Version 2.1c
======================
Purchased and updated all VBX controls and DLL object files from
various third-party software vendors. This will insure the lastest
fixes on all software used in this game program and fix a few
minor startup bugs.

minor bugs.
11/04/94 - Version 2.0b
=======================
Created self-installing version for Windows. One-step installation
is done now by running the PVPOKE.EXE file from diskette or hard
disk. Complete user control over destination directory and hard
disk as well as program group control. Should make installation for
novice Windows users much easier. All other features are the same
as v2.1a above.
10/15/94 - Version 2.0a
=======================
Fixed spelling of "deuces" in all areas of game (hopefully).
Fixed number of hands limitation/error caused by playing in excess
of 2,700 hands in a single game.
Also added the ability to order drinks and to check out who is
playing in the Casino's various lounge and bars.
Added "Celebrity Sightings" fun stuff to the game.
9/01/94 - Version 1.5a
======================
Added Windows WAV File support for various sound effects. Added
the SOUND Menu for controlling Sound Effects.
Enhanced the Game Save and Restore Features to support multiple
saves/restores.
Added "moving text banner" to main table. Improved the shuffle
card routines to increase the overall randomness of the card deck.
5/31/94 - Version 1.1
=====================
Fixed bugs in hand recognition routines. Now correctly identifies
a Wild Card Full House and a Wild Card Royal Flush. This was a
problem in the Deuces Wild Games Only - Joker Wild Games were
working OK. The routines were not seeing the Deuces as a wild
card for these particular hands. They now work properly.
5/01/94 - Version 1.0
=====================
First Version released with all major features. Very stable for a
first release (at least we thought so).
